BLOGGERS IN COMPANY

Those of you who follow Megan, Sarah and Megs on various forms of social media will already know about their awesome features in this months Company magazine! Those of you who don't (you should do so right this minute by heading to our 'Meet The Bloggers' section) should pick up this months Company for a few reasons, the first being that it's an all round brilliant monthly mag which gives you all the hottest trends, new music, quirky places to eat and some really great interviews with super stylish celebs among with tones of other bits and bobs too. The second reason being that these three babes are in it, duh!

I'm a bit of a magazine hoarder but Company is always the first on my list to buy every month, so when I heard that they were going to be in it this month I wen't out and bought it as soon as it hit the shelf. It's funny - but also brilliant - to see people who you know of in a magazine, especially one you adore and I'm so envious of them all. Weldone girls, you all look beaut!

SKULLDUGGERY CLOTHING

I launched Skullduggery Clothing in early 2012 selling handmade t-shirts and the odd bit of jewellery. I didn’t show it much love, I used the money I made for petrol and going out at the weekends. I wish I had saved it and spent it on improving the website rather than pissing it up the wall but hey ho, its much better now and I’m very pleased with the outcome.

Skullduggery Clothing has evolved from crappy iron ons and hacked off sleeves to a shop full of hand picked treasures and one of a kind pieces ranging from Vintage clothing, beautiful Jewellery and quirky items for the home. I’d love it if you could take a look and maybe spread the word, it would make me a very happy bunny. If not then just let me know your favorite item, any feedback is good feedback, Enjoy.

CLUB TROPICANA

Can you feel the heat? This seasons prints are hotting up. Last years florals have caught jungle fever: delicate daisies and roses have been replaced by palm trees, toucans, and bursting exotic flowers.

I’m Sophie, by the way: blogger at www.fashionslave.co.uk, freelance journalist, and student at Central Saint Martins studying MA Fashion Journalism.

Pacific prints are everywhere right now. You can’t walk into a store without feeling like you’re lost on a tropical island jungle. Obviously, the idea of dressing like your Dad rocking his Hawaiian shirt on a holiday circa 1995 is a slightly scary thought. But this probably has to be the most fun and exciting trend for SS14. There is something about tropical island prints that have you longing for a beach and a coconut cocktail like nothing else.

Here are my top picks for pacific prints.

Topshop Jumpsuit | Reiss Bikini Top & Bottoms | Topshop Dress | Topshop Bralet | River Island Top

Style Notes

Golden rule of tropical dressing: one paradise print piece per outfit (unless it’s a co-ord). You want to look like you’re inspired by the tropical foliage, not dressing up as an actual palm tree.
Pair the Topshop Bralet with high-waisted black culottes or a pencil skirt, some sliders and a white longline blazer jacket for a sexy, sports luxe approach to paradise prints.
Both the dress and the jumpsuit are a little in your face but would look great paired back with an oversized black bomber. And for the bikini: PiƱa Coladas essential.
Surfs up. Will you be riding the tropical wave?

3 BEAUTY MUST-HAVES

When it comes to beauty they're three items that I just CAN NOT live without! and that is my eyeliner, lipstick and a good old dose of concealer.

My eyeliner really is my safety blanket, the only piece of make up that I just cannot leave the house without wearing! My eye liner of choice is the MAC Liquid Last Eye Liner in shade Point Black. It's a teeny tiny little eye liner with a very fine applicator brush, so perhaps not so good if you have a case of the shakes, but after many years of eye liner training, I like to think i've become a bit of a flick master! It's in the blackest of colours and I can always count on it to last all day, a definite must have in all your make up bags if you ask me!

Another item I am rarely seen without is my red lips, usually again by MAC in shade Ruby Woo. A fabulously matte formula and once again something I can count on to last for several hours. It's a beautiful matte formula and oh sosos bright, the kind of lipstick that attracts a number of compliments from different people throughout the day. A must if you're a bright lip kinda gal like me.

And finally, a rather boring one, but a nifty little bargainous thang, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, the holy grail of all concealers, sweet niblets it's good. It comes in a variety of shades so it caters for every girl out there and it covers absolutely everything like a pro! Dark circles, Check, redness, check, spots & blemishes, DOUBLE CHECK! It is a super duper item and is ridiculously affordable, so I couldn't recommend it any more!

Where to find these products...

MAC Cosmetics UK | Liquidlast Liner

Mac Cosmetics UK | Lipstick in shade Ruby Woo

Collection Cosmentics | Lasting Perfection Concealer

My three beaty-must haves are products I use on a daily basis for my make-up routine. I never skip using them so they've become all round favourite items. In the video I talk about the items one by one and the reasons as to why I love them! If you enjoyed this video then make sure to check out my others and make sure to like/subscribe. We would also love to hear what your beauty must-haves are so leave a comment on the video!

Products mentioned...

BB Cream Matte
Real Techniques brush set
Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara

Having an oily complexion means it’s imperative that my skincare routine combats it in the best possible way! My 3 top beauty products I couldn’t live without are... PRIORI AHA Gentle Facial Cleanser: This milky, cream based cleanser is the perfect second cleanse – containing anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory properties it helps to soothe and heal the skin whilst cleaning, exfoliating and hydrating. It’s suitable for all skin types and since using it twice a day, every day for 6 months, my skin is soft, radiant and most importantly oil free: all day, every day.

LUSH Tea Tree Water: Now spring has sprung, this little beauty will be sitting pretty in my bathroom until winter rears it’s ugly head again. When the weather is slightly warm in the UK, my complexion goes mental – but with just a spritz of this in the morning after cleansing my skin is left refreshed and dry as a bone (in the best possible way). It’s antifungal and antibacterial which means it helps fight bacteria that causes breakouts and is perfect on an evening to help remove those last traces of makeup.

Antipodes Joyous Protein-Rich Night Replenish Serum: Although my skin is oily, it still needs hydrating every week or two. This is my holy grail serum, containing over 19 amino acids it works it’s magic to replenish the damage from the day. It’s freshens and brightens your complexion, and every time I use it I wake up the next day and my skin is literally glowing. Beauty in a bottle right thurr ladies.

BLOGGERS GUIDE TO SAVVY SALE SHOPPING

One of my absolute favourite places to shop online is Urban Outfitters. Now I don’t know about you, but whenever I think of UO, I think of the hefty price tag that comes with it. It’s certainly not the cheapest place to shop and although it’s filled to the brim with beautiful garments, it’s a rarity I will buy from them on the regular – my bank balance just can’t take it!

But it’s a whole different ball game if they’ve got a sale on...Every season I will stop by their website, just to check out what gems have fallen in to their clearance section. They may cost a pretty penny full price, but by golly do they host the best sale around. It pips the likes of Topshop, Zara and Miss Selfridge to the post and makes for one happy shopper. I’ve been doing it for years and am yet to buy one item of theirs at full price – pretty impressive, non? If you get in their sharpish, they’ll always have a good selection of sizes too.

I’ve mentioned it a few times on Twitter and the main response given is ‘Oh, I never thought to look at their sale before!’, I think it’s just one that slips under the radar, but it’s certainly not one to be sniffed at.

I found myself perusing the website this weekend and have picked out a few of my favourite items for you – to demonstrate just how affordable they can be!

1. Cheap Monday Poly Rinsed Jeans in Navy - £30 (was £49)
2. Leather Chain Strap Backpack - £30 (was £85)
3. Cooperative Lace Collar Insert Tee in White - £30 (was £42)
4. Pins & Needles Lace Button Down Top - £20 (was £30)
5. Vagabond Dioon Textile Buckle Boots in White - £30 (was £75)
6. Cooperative Textured Pull-On Skirt in Daisy Print - £15 (was £30)

What do you think? Impressed?

EASTER OOTD FEATURING WAY TOO MUCH BLACK

Happy Easter everybody! I hope you all stuffed yourself silly with chocolate, I know I did...
Easter reminds me of pastel colours, floral patterns and floaty dresses. Now I would opt for any of the three if I wasn't so comfortable in black. I see all of these stylish girls rocking some serious pastel frocks and I don't feel like I can pull it off half as well as them! I do love the colours of spring, the mint greens and the baby pinks, but I always seem to find myself stuck in the rut of winter colours like black, a very dark grey and navy... So, this is what I wore this Easter. I don't think it helped that the weather still isn't that great, It's still cold out so I definitely wont be baring my legs in a pretty summer dress anytime soon. Maybe some of these girls in their hot pants and crop tops should wait a little while longer till the temperature actually reaches a warm degree...

Sweater - Hoodboyz
Shirt - Newlook
Trousers - H&M
Boots - Topshop
Bag - Zara
Sunglasses - River Island

When it does get warmer you will see me in a lovely summer dress I'm sure, but for now I'll stay wearing black, black and more black. That's totally acceptable, right?...

SARAH

STYLE CRUSH: EMMA WATSON

Happy Monday! I’m Sarah, I write at www.sarah-nunn.blogspot.co.uk, and today I’m sharing my love for ultimate fashion babe Emma Watson. Gone are the days of frizzy hair and Hogwarts robes, these days the young actress is far more likely to be seen the likes of Dior and Saint Laurent. Recently she’s been attending premieres all over the world for her new film “Noah”, but it’s her show-stopping outfits that have been making the headlines.

The best thing about Emma’s red carpet style is that she’s not afraid to take risks. Remember that red Dior dress-over-trousers look she donned at the Golden Globes? I seem to recall comments such as “glorified hospital gown” and “over-sized apron”, but I for one loved the daring look. And as for that stunning white Ralph Lauren number, need I say more?

We all saw and loved Angelina Jolie in her sexy Saint Laurent suit recently, but Angelina’s not the only one that can pull off the androgynous look! I’m pretty sure Emma broke the internet the day she stepped out in her classy black Saint Laurent ensemble. This girl knows how to rock a trouser, not to mention a pointy black stiletto!

And last, but not least, let’s talk about Emma’s off duty style. She is oh so effortlessly chic, and sure looks good in a trench coat - as you would expect, having once been the face of Burberry. Although her Harry Potter days are well and truly behind her, I like to think her preppy brogues and pleated skirts are a little nod to Hermione Granger!

I hope you enjoyed my first post here on WHOWEARSWHAT! If you liked what you read, be sure to head over to my own little space on the internet, and keep your eyes peeled for my next installment right here in a few weeks’ time.
